What you will do
- Process complex multi-state, off-cycle, and adjusted payrolls while reviewing data for accuracy and compliance.
- Research and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and historical adjustments using root-cause analysis.
- Assist with payroll audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support quarterly and year-end activities, including W-2s, 1099s, and amended filings.
- Maintain payroll system data, tax configurations, and employee records within HCM/HRIS platforms.
- Administer and reconcile payroll deductions, including garnishments and retirement contributions.
Requirements
- Must be based in or be able to work from the Cincinnati or Boston locations.
- 3–6 years of experience in payroll processing or administration.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and multi-state compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems and HCM/HRIS platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
