What you will do

  • Process complex multi-state, off-cycle, and adjusted payrolls while reviewing data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Research and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and historical adjustments using root-cause analysis.
  • Assist with payroll audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support quarterly and year-end activities, including W-2s, 1099s, and amended filings.
  • Maintain payroll system data, tax configurations, and employee records within HCM/HRIS platforms.
  • Administer and reconcile payroll deductions, including garnishments and retirement contributions.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or be able to work from the Cincinnati or Boston locations.
  • 3–6 years of experience in payroll processing or administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and multi-state compliance requirements.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HCM/HRIS platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

  • Payroll certifications such as FPC or CPP.
