What you will do
- Own and scale end-to-end processing of multi-entity global payrolls, ensuring accuracy and localized tax compliance.
- Act as the primary business owner for core payroll systems, specifically optimizing Workday Payroll configuration and workflows.
- Lead complex financial and HR system migrations, including process redesign, testing, and stabilization.
- Design and maintain robust internal control frameworks to ensure audit readiness.
- Collaborate with Stock Plan Administration and Legal to process stock-based compensation (RSUs/Options) and withholding taxes.
- Serve as a strategic partner to People/HR, FP&A, and Accounting teams to align payroll with corporate goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive payroll management experience, preferably in high-growth consumer tech or hardware.
- Deep expertise in employer tax, social security, and statutory leave across multiple countries.
- Knowledge of foreign entity reporting, global mobility taxation, and cross-border compliance.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-level payroll system implementations or multi-country migrations.
- Significant experience with equity payroll, including stock-compensation taxation.
- Must be based in the United States (excluding specific states: AK, DE, IA, MS, NE, SD, WV, WI)
Nice to have
- Public company experience with a strong understanding of SOX controls and external audit support.
- Advanced hands-on proficiency in configuring and optimizing the Workday payroll module.
