Compensation Consultant (Finance): Developing and administering broad-based compensation programs and providing strategic consultation to business groups with an accent on job architecture and pay practices. Focus on translating market data and policy into practical guidance and driving consistent pay decisions across the enterprise.
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office). Must be based in Boston or Springfield, MA
Salary: $128,000–$168,000

What you will do
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on pay practices, pay equity, and FLSA compliance.
- Lead job catalog reviews, role leveling, and organizational design recommendations grounded in market context.
- Develop tailored total compensation solutions for offer and pay decisions for mid-management and above.
- Facilitate annual compensation planning and budget maximization to reinforce a pay-for-performance approach.
- Provide governance via Workday approvals for promotions, off-cycle adjustments, and offers.
- Drive the improvement of compensation programs and policies by developing business cases and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years of Human Resources experience, with 6+ years specifically in compensation.
- Proven experience in providing consultative partnership to HR and business team members.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and business acumen.
Nice to have
- CCP, GRP, CECP, or CSCP certification.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS.
- Experience managing compensation programs in large organizations across diverse functions.
