Location: Hybrid (Edinburgh); requires office attendance a minimum of 60% of the time over a 12-week period.

• Shape EU regulatory and competition strategies to drive commercial growth and market expansion.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex commercial contract negotiations, providing solutions-oriented guidance.
• Partner cross-functionally with commercial, product, and government relations teams to execute strategic priorities.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing legal team, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Drive process improvements through the adoption of AI and legal technology tools for better efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• Strong experience advising on EU regulatory matters within complex or highly regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of how legal developments influence commercial strategy and market positioning.
• Proven track record in sophisticated commercial negotiations and advising senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple functions.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments using sound judgment.
• This is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
