What you will do
- Oversee and assure the delivery of multiple audits within the audit plan, personally leading complex or high-risk engagements.
- Structure audit portfolios, briefing Engagement Leads and monitoring progress against quality standards.
- Apply data-driven testing and emerging AI tools to improve audit efficiency and insight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing challenge and assurance on risk management.
- Coach and manage team members, fostering continuous development and high performance.
- Contribute to the strategic development of audit methods and team direction.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK and able to work from London, Bristol, or Edinburgh offices.
- 8+ years of experience in assurance, risk, or control environments.
- Advanced capability in data analytics, audit technology, and AI tools.
- Proven expertise in Commercial Banking, including lending, transaction banking, and credit risk.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence Executive and ExCo level stakeholders.
- Experience in leading multiple audit engagements and managing teams simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Proven 1st, 2nd, or 3rd line audit experience.
- Deep knowledge of the external commercial banking environment.
- Track record of partnering with senior leadership.
