What you will do

• Define the technical direction and roadmap for content understanding and search workstreams.
• Lead and grow a high-performing team of scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of scientific excellence.
• Partner with personalization and search teams to integrate AI outputs into reliable product building blocks.
• Own end-to-end delivery from early research and experimentation to production-scale systems.
• Define and track success metrics for quality, reliability, and real-world impact on downstream products.
• Manage prioritization and communicate technical trade-offs to senior leadership.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree with relevant applied research experience (6+ years for Master's).
• 4+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing scientists or machine learning engineers.
• 3+ years of experience building ML models for business applications.
• Strong knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval, and Analytics.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
