What you will do
- Own the implementation and continuous improvement of core IT architecture, identity systems, and SaaS application management.
- Design and maintain hardened baseline configurations for endpoints, including MDM/EDR policies and automated provisioning.
- Lead identity and access management (IAM) strategies, including RBAC and least-privilege models across core business applications.
- Act as a primary IT owner for security controls, supporting SOC 2, SOC 1, and ISO-aligned compliance frameworks.
- Develop automation and scripts to reduce manual toil and improve IT operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the long-term roadmap for IT and security maturity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in corporate IT engineering or systems administration within a SaaS or high-growth environment.
- Deep hands-on experience with identity/SSO (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace) and endpoint management at scale.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- Proven ability to produce clear runbooks, SOPs, and audit-ready documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across user, device, network, and SaaS layers.
- Must be based in Canada with strong availability during Pacific Time business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience contributing to security questionnaires and vendor risk assessments.
- Familiarity with SIEM or security analytics tools.
