Senior IT Engineer (Endpoint Engineering)

TL;DR

Senior IT Engineer (Endpoint Engineering): Managing and scaling device management and inventory operations in Mexico with an accent on MDM platform engineering and automation. Focus on developing APIs, automating device lifecycles, and acting as the DevOps backbone for endpoint platforms.

Location: Resident in Mexico City, Mexico; Hybrid 2-3 times/week

What you will do

• Lead the development and maintenance of Endpoint Engineering platforms including Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, and SnipeIT.
• Design and implement features, APIs, and data flows connecting MDM, inventory, and internal platforms.
• Create automations and self-service experiences to reduce manual work and ticket load for device workflows.
• Act as the DevOps owner for platforms in Mexico, managing IaC (Terraform/Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
• Manage daily health, performance, and SLOs of device fleets in Mexico and lead incident response.
• Collaborate with global security, infra, and product teams to scale Mexico's operational patterns globally.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting macOS, Windows, and Linux in production.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Clojure, Go, or Java) and Shell scripting.
• Experience operating cloud-based services on AWS and utilizing Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Production experience with Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager/ADE, and Zero Touch Deployment.
• Native or near-native Spanish and fluent English; must be legally authorized to work and resident in Mexico City.

Nice to have

• Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Clojure microservices and Zero Trust endpoint architectures.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE/LPIC, AWS, or Jamf Pro.
• Product and UX mindset for improving internal user experience metrics.
