TL;DR
Director of Customer Engineering (MedTech): Managing the technical execution and implementation of a patient engagement platform for biopharma companies with an accent on data integrations and delivery quality. Focus on scaling implementation processes, mentoring a technical team, and driving architectural improvements to reduce deployment complexity.
Location: In person 4x a week in New York (Nomad)
Salary: $170,000 - $230,000 + equity

What you will do
- Manage and mentor a team of 5+ Customer Engineers, establishing clear expectations and career development paths.
- Own the quality bar for customer implementations and ongoing technical support, tracking KPIs around timelines and satisfaction.
- Design and implement scalable, repeatable processes for data integration, mapping, and go-live.
- Partner with Implementation, Engineering, and Product leadership to coordinate delivery and resolve blockers.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex data problems and integration challenges.
- Drive architectural decisions to improve operational effectiveness and reduce implementation complexity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in customer engineering, solutions engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
- 3+ years of experience managing and scaling technical teams (5+ direct reports).
- High proficiency in SQL and strong understanding of modern data pipelines and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Experience operationalizing implementation processes for complex enterprise B2B SaaS deployments.
- Must be based in New York and able to work in-office 4 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare technology, life sciences, or pharmaceutical services.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, EDI, SFTP).
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native data infrastructure.
- Background in high-growth B2B SaaS companies.
