TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the US (Hybrid in Arlington, VA; Boston, MA; or San Francisco, CA).

What you will do

• Design and release mechanical hardware including enclosures, mounts, brackets, and installation solutions.
• Ensure designs meet requirements for sealing, corrosion resistance, vibration, and serviceability.
• Manage mechanical projects from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and final production release.
• Collaborate with electrical, operations, and manufacturing teams to resolve integration issues.
• Define and improve standards for cabling, connectorization, and field installation.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing mechanical hardware for marine or outdoor electromechanical systems.
• Strong CAD proficiency, preferably in Onshape.
• Proven experience designing for manufacturing, assembly, and reliability in harsh environments.
• Working knowledge of electromechanical integration including cable routing and hardware interfaces.
