What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines for machine learning and analytics.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
• Optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases for high-availability and performance.
• Implement replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.
• Ensure strict separation of public and classified data within secure-by-design architectures.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and AI/ML teams to deliver operational capabilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC) and Azure data services.
• Database expertise in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Experience working in government, defense, or regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with GIS systems and geospatial data architectures.
• Familiarity with real-time streaming frameworks like Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or Flink.
• Knowledge of SDR, radar systems, or maritime domain awareness platforms.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Security+.
