Middle–Senior Data Engineer (AI): Migrating production data pipelines to a cloud-native platform with an accent on AI-driven data quality, anomaly detection, and compliance. Focus on building scalable ETL/ELT workflows, integrating LLMs/RAG, and optimizing Snowflake performance.

Location: Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in New York City (NY), Iselin (NJ), or Charlotte (NC).

Salary: Up to $150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable ETL and ELT data pipelines.
• Maintain data orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate LLMs into data-driven applications.
• Develop RAG pipelines using embeddings and vector-based search.
• Optimize Snowflake data models for performance and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to cloud-native application design and deployment.

Requirements

• 4+ years (Middle) or 10+ years (Senior) of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in NY, NJ, or NC.
• Strong experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with large language models and RAG patterns.
• Experience with embeddings and vector databases.
• Experience using Streamlit for GenAI interfaces.
• Exposure to MCP server development.
