What you will do

• Develop ML and AI methods to predict test outcomes and automate decision-making across laboratories and compliance operations.
• Work with diverse data sources including laboratory information systems, sensor data, and unstructured documents.
• Collaborate with principal engineering and technology partners to identify AI opportunities and translate business problems into solutions.
• Manage the full innovation lifecycle from ideation and feasibility assessment through prototyping and production deployment.
• Implement emerging AI techniques including LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and computer vision.
• Perform basic data engineering tasks, including ETL workflows and pipeline maintenance to ensure reliable data availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and model development (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Experience querying databases using SQL.
• Knowledge of ML techniques such as clustering, decision trees, random forests, neural networks, and regression.
• Basic understanding of modern AI concepts including LLMs, NLP, and RAG.
• Must be based in the United States (indicated by US-specific benefits and locations).

Nice to have

• Exposure to Azure cloud platforms and version control using Git/GitHub.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Matplotlib.
• Software engineering skills including TDD, CI/CD practices, API design, or containerization.
