Salary: $134,500 – $168,000 base

What you will do

  • Lead the design and architecture of firmware for embedded systems, including bootloaders and hardware abstraction layers (HAL).
  • Develop high-quality, optimized code in C, C++, and assembly for microcontrollers, processors, and SoCs.
  • Debug hardware-firmware interactions using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate firmware into complex systems.
  • Optimize firmware for power consumption, memory usage, and energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development, with at least 4-5 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and assembly language programming for embedded systems.
  • Strong understanding of hardware design, including circuit diagrams, data sheets, and schematics.
  • Experience with version control (Git), continuous integration, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Must be based in or able to work at the Lakewood, CO office.
