CAD Drafter/Designer (AutoDesk Inventor)

Location: Remote within the contiguous United States; availability required during core client hours, 9–5 ET.

Hourly rate: $70 USD per hour, approximately 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings in AutoDesk Inventor for steel sheet metal parts and structures.
• Design and detail large-scale mechanical assemblies for factory equipment and industrial machinery.
• Convert engineering concepts into accurate, production-ready, and manufacturable drawings.
• Prepare and maintain bills of materials, CAD files, drawing documentation, and revision records.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, fabricators, shop teams, clients, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Support design reviews and resolve design questions during production.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience as a CAD drafter or designer in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical design environment.
• Hands-on experience with AutoDesk Inventor.
• Experience with steel sheet metal design and large-scale assembly design.
• Associate’s degree or technical certificate in drafting, mechanical design, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Must reside within the contiguous United States and have valid US work authorization.
• Must be available for client calls, internal meetings, and daily standups during 9–5 ET core business hours.
