What you will do
- Define and execute a long-term strategy to grow merchandise and licensing into a high-margin revenue stream.
- Own the end-to-end performance of the merchandise business, including P&L, ecommerce, and retail partnerships.
- Develop a diverse product portfolio spanning apparel, collectibles, and accessories.
- Identify and secure global licensing and collaboration opportunities to expand the RuneScape brand.
- Lead commercial negotiations regarding royalty structures, minimum guarantees, and vendor terms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Game, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams to align launches with in-game events.
Requirements
- Extensive senior experience in commercial, merchandising, or licensing roles within gaming, entertainment, or D2C brands.
- Proven track record of delivering successful licensed product lines and merchandise strategies.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls, pricing strategies, and forecasting.
- Deep understanding of gaming culture and fandom to create authentic products.
- Existing professional network across licensing, retail, and manufacturing.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify and inventory reporting tools.
