What you will do
- Lead teams through the full software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality web applications.
- Recruit, mentor, and coach engineering individual contributors and tech leads.
- Set and track performance goals and objectives for each team member.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and quality engineering to ensure delivery excellence.
- Strategically manage technical debt and solve complex technical and human factor roadblocks.
- Participate in the engineering on-call rotation and assist with budget planning.
Requirements
- Must be based in the US.
- 12+ years of industry experience with 4+ years of technical leadership managing teams of 6 or more engineers.
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one of: Go, C#, or TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of React, modern frontend patterns, and core web technologies (HTML, CSS, Web APIs).
- Experience building scalable, cloud-hosted services using AWS and microservices architectures.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, GraphQL, and modern web protocols.
Nice to have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD integration (GitHub/GitLab).
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience using cross-platform libraries to ensure consistency between web and mobile.
