Data Science Lead (Fintech)

TL;DR

Data Science Lead (Fintech/Cybersecurity): Designing scalable data architectures and leading R&D for novel data sources to enhance identity tokenization and authentication systems with an accent on data engineering, MLOps, and analytical rigor. Location: Must be based in the United States (US Remote). This role is not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

Salary: $179,000 - $200,000 plus variable commission / company bonus.

What you will do

• Design and oversee the evolution of scalable data architectures supporting advanced analytics, ML modeling, and real-time processing.
• Lead R&D by scouting and evaluating new internal and external data sources, including synthetic data and IoT streams, for commercial viability.
• Establish gold-standard methodologies for statistical analysis, experimental design (A/B testing), and ML modeling.
• Act as the bridge between R&D and Production to ensure complex models and data sources are seamlessly ingested into core products.
• Develop key deliverables including a Data Source Playbook, Methodology Registry, and a 3-year architectural roadmap.
• Oversee data delivery contracts and the design of clean, well-documented APIs between the DS ecosystem and downstream applications.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science or Data Engineering.
• At least 2 years in a technical leadership or architectural role.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Big Data tech (Spark, Kafka), and Orchestration (Airflow).
• Deep expertise in MLOps deployment patterns, schema design (SQL/NoSQL), and statistical evaluation.
• Valid US work authorization is required; no sponsorship is available.
