What you will do

• Develop exterior lighting electronic hardware aligned with GM electrical architecture and ISO 26262/ASIL requirements.
• Evaluate electronics design concepts, balancing styling intent, engineering feasibility, cost, and performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of electronic component and system-level issues across development and launch.
• Manage performance requirements, including benchmarking, energy management, mass, and lighting animations.
• Develop Statements of Requirements (SORs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Perform corner case studies on bench and via DFMEA to ensure launch excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in electronics hardware design.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship (e.g., H1-B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1).

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of electronics hardware development experience, ideally within automotive lighting or embedded hardware systems.
