What you will do

• Manage the full software lifecycle for internal configuration management tools, from requirements to decommissioning.
• Develop bugfixes, enhancements, and new features for existing software systems.
• Create stable backends and single-sources-of-truth for custom front-end applications used by LabOps.
• Optimize software architecture to improve reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with software testing and DevOps teams to ensure reliable validation and deployment.
• Mentor junior developers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Expertise in Java or other compiled object-oriented languages.
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database design.
• Experience with Linux and Git workflows (branching, merging, pull requests).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Flask, and/or asyncio.
• Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with hardware control systems.
