Sr. Manager, Engineering Configuration Platform Team (Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead a team that shapes how thousands of engineers ship, ramp, and roll back changes daily.
• Reduce customer-impacting incidents through stronger guardrails, validation, and graduated rollout patterns.
• Drive company-wide MTTR reduction via health-mediated releases, auto-rollback, and zero-downtime configuration delivery.
• Evolve the Configuration Platform UX into a frictionless set of UI, CLI, and agentic surfaces.
• Grow the organization to attract and retain Staff and Principal level engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing backend, infrastructure, or platform teams of 7 to 15 engineers.
• Strong background in distributed systems, including Java/Scala, RPC, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud/multi-region deployments.
• Hands-on leadership approach, remaining close to the code and leading design reviews.
• Operational experience owning high-availability platforms with on-call and incident response responsibilities.
• BS in Computer Science (Masters or PhD preferred).
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment for U.S. employees.
