Cloud & Platform Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Atlanta, United States

Base salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity, potential discretionary bonuses or commission payments.

What you will do

• Lead the Cloud & Platform Engineering team across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, web infrastructure, data, GitOps, automation, reliability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Build and scale a platform for deploying hirify.global services in highly available Kubernetes environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Lead cross-organizational initiatives including Disaster Recovery and AI Agents Infrastructure.
• Design and operate infrastructure for AI agents and tooling, including MCP servers, gateways, access controls, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with Security, FinOps, Production Support, Product, Software Architects, and product development teams.
• Influence product roadmaps and ensure the quality, monitoring, security, and high availability of microservices.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of hands-on technical leadership in cloud and platform engineering within a large-scale SaaS environment.
• 3–5+ years of experience managing engineers, including hiring and team development.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
• Broad knowledge of Kubernetes services and infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, data platforms, managed databases, DNS, storage, and security hardening across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including EKS, AKS, and GKE.
• Demonstrated ability to design and ship platforms, tooling, and automation while fostering ownership and accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery for production systems.
