Sr. Engineering Manager, AI on Sensor (Hybrid) (AI)

Location: USA - Sunnyvale, CA; other listed locations include New York, Austin, Redmond, and Toronto. Hybrid work arrangement.

Base salary: $160,000–$250,000 per year for U.S. candidates; $175,000–$250,000 CAD per year for Canada-based employment, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

Cybersecurity company developing the AI-native Falcon platform for endpoint protection and large-scale threat detection.

What you will do

• Build and lead a team developing AI capabilities for the next-generation Falcon sensor.
• Own the AI-on-endpoint roadmap, including machine learning model operationalization, telemetry data pipelines, and on-device inference.
• Collaborate with sensor development, data science, cloud, and platform teams on architecture and strategic initiatives.
• Conceptualize, design, implement, and deliver cross-platform features for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Own features through the full lifecycle, including design, delivery, demonstrations, and major releases.
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineers while maintaining performance, cost, design, coding, and testing standards.

Requirements

• General knowledge of C++ and Windows, macOS, and Linux operating system internals.
• Hands-on experience operationalizing machine learning models on endpoints.
• Experience building data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and delivering sensor telemetry for model training, evaluation, and on-device inference.
• Previous experience as a Senior Manager or Engineering Manager with direct reports.
• Experience shipping major features and releases and leading distributed teams.
• U.S.- or Canada-based employment requires legal entitlement to work in the applicable country.
