Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform complex legal research for trial staff using online tools.
• Assist in preparing draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
• Conduct research for Release of Information (ROI) and review new cases.
• Edit final decisions and write legal opinions on newest cases.
• Perform precise cite checking using Westlaw, Lexis, and Bluebook.
• Support attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school (minimum one year completed).
• Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
• Thorough proficiency with LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Extensive experience with cite checking and Bluebook.
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and document management databases.
• Must be able to work on-site in Washington, DC or Arlington, VA.

Nice to have

• Experience working in Government or Litigation Support environments.
• Experience with Relativity.
• Publication of legal writings or participation in Law Review.
• Current or active security clearance.
