What you will do

• Evaluate complaints to identify potential violations of HIPAA Rules and federal civil rights, conscience, and religious freedom regulations.
• Draft critical legal documents, including investigative strategies, notification requests, closure letters, and corrective action plans.
• Conduct interviews with complainants and witnesses to gather evidence.
• Review and analyze medical records, policies, procedures, and computer audit reports.
• Respond to correspondence and phone calls related to complaints and requests for technical assistance.

Requirements

• Law degree (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school or a bachelor’s degree plus one year of specialized experience in a relevant field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems and facilities.
• Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
