TL;DR

Sr. Product Marketing Manager (Public Sector): Driving go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for Federal, State, Local, and Education (SLED) audiences with an accent on translating complex product capabilities into mission-aligned outcomes for government agencies. Focus on evolving positioning to align with mandates like zero-trust, FedRAMP, and CMMC, and developing comprehensive sales enablement tools.

Location: Must be based in the USA and reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA. Not eligible for hire within the city limits of Chicago.

Salary: $150,000 – $185,000 per year

What you will do

  • Own GTM strategy, positioning, and messaging for Federal and SLED audiences to drive awareness and revenue growth.
  • Translate technical capabilities and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, CMMC) into clear value propositions for government IT buyers.
  • Create public sector enablement content including pitch decks, solution guides, and competitive battlecards.
  • Develop ideal customer profiles, segmentation strategies, and targeting plans for government agencies.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, analyst briefings, and government customer engagements (up to 40% travel).
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to refine the public sector roadmap and improve procurement motions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing within B2B software, IT management, or public sector technology.
  • Deep understanding of government buying environments, procurement vehicles, and agency IT personas.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling messaging and execute complex GTM strategies.
  • Experience translating technical compliance concepts into accessible messaging.
  • Must be located in the USA (specific states only).
  • This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship.

  • Prior experience supporting a FedRAMP authorization or CMMC assessment process.
