What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations for stresses in crane runway structures using static, dynamic, and fatigue failure theories.
• Evaluate the strength and fatigue life of structural steel runway structures for the US and Canada.
• Utilize RISA 3D, vendor software, and in-house analytical tools to ensure compliance with AISC, ASCE, CSA, and CMAA specifications.
• Act as a technical expert to troubleshoot issues during installation, commissioning, or warranty periods.
• Provide design guidance and technical support to sales teams during the quotation phase of complex projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the product engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• EIT certification (with a desire or plan to obtain a PE license).
• 3-5 years of related industry experience.
• Knowledge of ASCE and IBC codes, including seismic conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex functions) and CAD programs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AISC/CSA and CMAA standards.
• Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes.
