Material Testing Technician

What you will do

• Perform construction materials testing in the field and laboratory
• Inspect and test soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete materials
• Document and communicate test results accurately
• Support roadway and transportation construction projects
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineering staff
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

Requirements

• Prior experience with construction materials testing in either a field or lab setting
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and driving record review

Nice to have

• ACI Level I Certification
• Highway testing certifications (Soils Field Tester, Aggregate Sampler, Asphalt Pavement Inspector)
• Previous experience working on NDDOT projects
