What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable backend services using Kotlin or Java frameworks like Micronaut or Spring.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend teams to deliver high-quality SaaS features.
• Take ownership of backend architecture, data models, and infrastructure improvements.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, documentation, and experimentation.
• Contribute to full-stack initiatives, including frontend and infrastructure tasks, to improve product delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical decision-making to improve engineering standards.

Requirements

• Fluent English communication skills required.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin or Java and modern backend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of backend system design, API development, and distributed application principles.
• Must be based in Germany or the EU with the ability to work effectively in distributed international teams.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka, and cloud-native architectures.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to drive features from concept to deployment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and observability tools like Grafana.
• Experience with A/B testing and product analytics tools like Mixpanel.
• Experience collaborating directly with designers or working from prototypes.
