What you will do

• Design and deliver highly scalable software systems used across 70+ countries.
• Lead backend engineering using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Own services end-to-end with a focus on infrastructure automation and continuous deployment.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to drive high-quality software design.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues in distributed microservices platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing software systems in complex domains at a global scale.
• Deep expertise in backend engineering and distributed systems.
• Mastery of Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
• Strong engineering ownership mindset with a passion for CI/CD and reliability.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Berlin, Germany.
