What you will do

• Audit behavioral health documentation and coding (ICD-10-CM and CPT) for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
• Deliver actionable feedback and education to providers through 1:1 remediation meetings, specifically regarding medical decision making (MDM).
• Act as a subject matter expert to support internal teams and develop coding processes.
• Draft educational content and identify documentation gaps to improve clinical standards.
• Analyze coding trends and recommend improvements to product tooling and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on billing code guardrails.

Requirements

• CPC certification is required.
• 2+ years of experience in outpatient or professional services coding within a behavioral health setting.
• Strong proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (Company participates in E-Verify).
• Ability to communicate empathetic and sensitive feedback to providers.
• Tech-savvy with experience in Google Workspace, Zoom, and EMR platforms.

Nice to have

• CPMA certification or extensive auditing experience.
