System Engineer

TL;DR

System Engineer (Infrastructure): Diagnosing, analyzing, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for Federal Government clients with an accent on infrastructure stability and modern sustainable change. Focus on designing technical solutions, configuring cloud and on-premise environments, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Remote, but must be within a 3-hour commute to Los Angeles, CA for company events and onsite support

Salary: $60,000 – $180,000 USD

IT services provider specializing in mobilizing technical skills and clearance levels to support US Federal Agencies.

What you will do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues using critical thinking.
• Install and configure new network components, hardware, and software systems.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to design and develop technical solutions.
• Provide multi-channel support including phone, email, and in-person onsite assistance.
• Mentor, coach, and train other engineers within the organization.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of applicable work experience at a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Proficiency with Windows Server (2008/2012/2016), Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and IIS.
• Expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, VMware 5+, and Storage Area Networks (SANs).
• Must be located within a 3-hour commute to Los Angeles, CA for periodic company events.

Nice to have

• Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• Prior experience working with law firms.
