TL;DR
Senior Engineer (Fullstack/Fintech): Designing and building a new Customer Onboarding Platform to replace legacy Salesforce logic with modern backend services with an accent on scalability, vendor integration, and data modeling. Focus on migrating fragile systems to cloud-native architecture and shaping company-wide technical direction.
Location: Hybrid (California, USA). In-office collaboration is required for 10+ days per month.
Salary: $140,000 — $174,999 USD per year

What you will do
- Lead the design and development of cloud-native backend services for the company-wide onboarding platform.
- Migrate core onboarding logic out of Salesforce into resilient, observable services and a dedicated persistence layer.
- Integrate best-in-class vendors such as Persona for KYC/KYB orchestration and data flows.
- Partner with Product and Compliance teams to design scalable data pipelines and orchestration.
- Contribute to foundational data modeling for the future identity platform.
- Mentor engineers and champion engineering excellence in code quality, testing, and operational practices.
Requirements
- Deep fullstack engineering experience in modern, cloud-native, distributed systems.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale systems in complex environments.
- Strong API design and integration skills using REST and/or gRPC.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
- Exposure to frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Must be based in California, USA to meet in-office collaboration requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
- Domain expertise in fintech, regtech, KYC/KYB, or identity verification systems.
