Salary: $190,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers, setting the bar for design quality and engineering craft.
• Write production-grade backend code daily, including services, pipelines, and APIs.
• Lead system design for ingestion pipelines, entity resolution, enrichment workflows, and search indexing.
• Own technical quality, architecture decisions, performance, reliability, and observability of team output.
• Collaborate with EM, product, and partner teams to align on requirements and technical direction.
• Identify and resolve technical debt and manage resource allocation to meet release goals.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, predominantly with Java in production systems at scale.
• Deep experience with distributed data pipelines and streaming systems such as Kafka.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch or comparable search/indexing platforms.
• Solid PostgreSQL or relational database expertise at meaningful data volumes.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale data ingestion, transformation, or enrichment systems (entity resolution, deduplication).
• Enthusiasm for using AI tools for productivity, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
