Software Development Engineer in Test (AdTech): Building and maintaining automated validation systems for a high-throughput, low-latency programmatic advertising platform with an accent on performance, reliability, and distributed system integrity. Focus on designing simulation software, driving CI/CD tooling, and ensuring quality across the entire SDLC for a global-scale exchange.
Location: Hybrid (Toronto, 8 Spadina Ave). Candidates must be open to working in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do
- Develop comprehensive automated test suites and validation systems for the control plane of a global ad tech platform.
- Collaborate with platform and feature engineers to integrate quality strategies directly into the SDLC.
- Drive daily test result reviews, issue diagnosis, and root cause analysis for production incidents.
- Architect and maintain software/data test automation frameworks and related tooling.
- Provide technical leadership in designing testable platform applications and data models.
- Design performance tests, load models, and profiling tools to identify systemic bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing automated validation systems or developer tooling.
- Experience validating high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Proficiency in designing and building simulation software for functional and performance validation.
- Strong coding skills in languages such as JavaScript (Node, React) and Golang.
- Experience with performance test design, load modeling, and profiling.
