What you will do

• Lead the rearchitecture of the Rolodex platform to support a scalable facility context graph.
• Deliver ontologies, predictable APIs, and SDKs to unlock AI agent workflows and eliminate bespoke integrations.
• Own the evolution of the centralized permissioning and security system for a frictionless developer experience.
• Optimize query abstractions (indexing, SQL/GraphQL) and smart routing for heavy workloads.
• Establish productized patterns for shared data needs, including schemas, data modeling, and pipelines.
• Automate GCP cloud infrastructure using Terraform to eliminate engineering toil.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in a production environment.
• Expertise in backend infrastructure, databases, or developer tooling.
• Experience designing secure, user-friendly APIs.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for Developer Experience (DevEx).
• Ability to own long-term technical projects and contribute to critical architectural decisions.
• Must be based in or able to work from the New York City office.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling central datastores, knowledge graphs, or shared data platforms.
• Proficiency with Terraform and managing cloud deployments in GCP or AWS.
• Familiarity with complex authorization and permissioning systems.
• Strong judgment regarding data modeling, storage formats, and access patterns.
