Salary: $155,000–$185,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and ship production-quality platform infrastructure software, backend services, automation tools, provisioning systems, and test systems.
• Develop cloud control-plane services and on-robot daemons for device provisioning, OTA updates, telemetry, and fleet-state convergence.
• Work with AWS infrastructure including Terraform, ECS, Postgres, and S3.
• Contribute to device identity, security, secure boot pipelines, and self-updating robot clients.
• Partner with senior engineering mentors and collaborate with firmware, applications, cloud, manufacturing, systems, and operations teams.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for research, coding, iteration, feedback, and testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one systems or backend language: Python, C, C++, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Comfort working in Linux environments and a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate technical reasoning clearly, receive feedback constructively, and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work on-site at the San Diego office.
