Manager, Global Payroll

Location: Bellevue, Chandler, or Los Angeles, United States; expected to work in an office 4+ days per week

Base salary: $121,000–$182,000, $135,000–$203,000, or $142,000–$214,000 annually depending on U.S. pay zone; eligible for RSU equity.

What you will do

• Lead Americas and APAC payroll operations and manage a regional payroll team.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across multiple entities, countries, pay frequencies, and payroll calendars.
• Manage payroll providers, tax advisors, and local country specialists while ensuring service quality and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain payroll controls, audit readiness, reconciliations, funding processes, tax payments, and financial reporting.
• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, People Tech, and cross-functional teams on Workday, payroll integrations, RSUs, benefits, mobility, and employee lifecycle changes.
• Lead payroll improvements, automation, country implementations, migrations, acquisitions, reorganizations, and system changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state U.S. payroll and regional multi-country payroll or HR experience.
• Experience in a multinational organization with complex international operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, statutory obligations, payroll funding, reconciliations, controls, and general-ledger impacts.
• Experience managing payroll providers, country-level advisors, compliance requirements, escalations, and recurring deadlines across multiple time zones.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, collaboration, organizational, and confidentiality skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Payroll experience and experience with a global payroll platform such as PwC’s Global Payroll Platform or ADP Streamline.
• Experience processing stock-based compensation and RSU-related payroll transactions.
• Certified Payroll Professional certification.
• People management experience.
