Senior Software Engineer (Go): Designing and developing high-performance middleware and application software for next-generation in-vehicle infotainment platforms with an accent on scalability and vehicle integration. Location: Hybrid (Mountain View, CA or Warren, MI). Candidates are expected to report to the office at least 3 times a week.

Salary: $160,000–$200,000

What you will do

• Design and maintain high-performance backend services and middleware for infotainment and connected vehicle systems.
• Write scalable, fault-tolerant Go code optimized for low latency and memory efficiency.
• Contribute to system architecture and drive technical solutions aligned with platform and product requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle, including root cause analysis, resolution, and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Systems, Integration, Product, Platform) to deliver integrated software solutions.
• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and system design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go (structs, interfaces, channels, goroutines) and deep understanding of concurrency.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and distributed microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the USA (specifically Mountain View, CA or Warren, MI).

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive software development (infotainment systems, clusters, or vehicle middleware).
• Understanding of the Vehicle Development Process (VDP) or similar automotive lifecycles.
• Experience with system observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) and production support.
• Exposure to safety-critical or real-time systems.
