TL;DR

Senior Benefits Analyst (HR Operations): Managing U.S. health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs with an accent on compliance, vendor management, and data-driven process improvement. Focus on administering complex self-insured plans, leading open enrollment cycles, and ensuring regulatory adherence to ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.

What you will do

  • Own daily operations for U.S. benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, and 401(k).
  • Administer end-to-end leave programs such as FMLA, state-mandated leave, and ADA accommodations.
  • Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure service levels.
  • Lead annual open enrollment cycles including HRIS configuration, testing, and employee communications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
  • Analyze enrollment and utilization data to identify trends and inform renewal strategies.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the U.S.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in U.S. benefits administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS and advanced Excel skills for modeling and reconciliation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Finance.
  • Ability to explain complex benefits concepts to employees and stakeholders with empathy.

Nice to have

  • CEBS, CBP, or PHR/SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience with the Workday Benefits module.
