What you will do

• Own application security across the stack by proactively hunting for vulnerabilities and resolving security alerts.
• Optimize database queries, API response times, and mobile app cold starts to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
• Build and maintain metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to ensure comprehensive system observability.
• Lead incident management practices, driving blameless postmortems and durable system improvements.
• Foster a reliability culture by teaching engineers to own their services and understand production behavior.

Requirements

• Solid hands-on experience in SRE, backend engineering, or a security-focused engineering role.
• Proficiency in working with production TypeScript and Node.js codebases.
• Expertise in MongoDB or other document databases, including query optimization and indexing.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Datadog or Grafana.
• Based within European time zones.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Performance engineering for mobile or web products.
• Experience in penetration testing or security auditing.
• Application-layer cost optimization (query efficiency, caching).
