TL;DR
Vue-first Frontend (Vue): Building and maintaining real-time video management interfaces and scalable integrations for mission-critical security systems with an accent on state management, API integration, and maintainable frontend architecture. Focus on developing tested code, investigating root causes, and supporting resilient systems through CI/CD, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom; hybrid work with approximately 2 days per week in the office

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, validate, and test software for video management products and systems.
- Implement frontend state management patterns and REST API and WebSocket integrations.
- Build maintainable code and debug issues when necessary.
- Apply engineering patterns, design principles, Git, and basic CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with other teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of software engineering experience.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Understanding of application state patterns, data flows, and reactivity or observables, including Pinia, Vuex, or Redux.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and WebSockets, plus solid web development fundamentals.
- Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, with strong analytical and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Vue 3, Pinia, or Go.
- Interest in resilient, scalable systems and willingness to explore new areas of the codebase.
