What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive audits of infrastructure, deployment processes, and incident patterns.
• Design and implement systemic solutions to address root causes of operational pain and reliability issues.
• Build and maintain observability, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing infrastructure.
• Establish organizational standards for reliability, runbooks, and incident response processes.
• Optimize platform performance, capacity planning, and cost management.
• Mentor engineers across the organization on operational thinking and reliability engineering.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5–8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in infrastructure, operations, or SRE.
• Staff-level technical depth with proven experience managing complex platform decisions at scale.
• Expert-level infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Deep familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, and substantial AWS experience.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation languages such as Python or Go.

Nice to have

• Experience experimenting with AI/LLM tools for infrastructure automation and code generation.
• Strong ability to influence technical direction without formal authority.
