What you will do

• Define a reliability strategy centered on AI, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Redesign the incident lifecycle using AI for alert correlation, triage, and automated postmortem generation.
• Build AI agents to automate runbook responses and remediation steps for on-call engineers.
• Partner with product teams to embed AI-assisted investigation and production readiness into their workflows.
• Architect high-scale resilience and capacity planning across AWS (EKS, Kafka, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS).
• Mentor engineers on reliability practices and establish AI-assisted operation standards across the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering with cross-org influence.
• Proven track record of shipping AI/LLM implementations in production operational workflows.
• Deep expertise in SLOs/SLIs, incident command, and blameless postmortems in distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar software engineering languages.
• Experience with observability (Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry) and IaC (Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS).
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Mountain View, US.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI).
• Familiarity with FinOps and cost/performance trade-offs in high-scale systems.
