What you will do

• Define and drive technical architecture for the mature search platform and the evolving RAG solution.
• Lead and mentor a team of 6 experienced engineers, fostering a culture of autonomy and technical excellence.
• Make critical decisions regarding scaling, infrastructure, and product evolution.
• Manage enterprise B2B dynamics, including SOC2 compliance, GDPR, and security audits.
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive peers to shape the product roadmap.
• Contribute hands-on to architecture and design using modern AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant time in technical leadership roles.
• Must be based in a European Union country.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Working knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Python, and AWS.
• Expertise in AI/ML systems, specifically RAG architectures, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a CTO or VP of Engineering.
• Experience with Dropwizard, FastAPI, MySQL, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangSmith, or LangFuse observability tools.
• Background in search, information retrieval, or adjacent domains.
