What you will do

• Own engineering execution, architecture, and technical direction for the core Planning, Scheduling, and Rostering products.
• Lead and mentor a group of full-stack team leads and engineers, building a high-leverage organization.
• Partner with the R&D leadership team to shape departmental strategy and drive high-level organizational decisions.
• Leverage AI agents and automation to multiply the output of the group and enhance the product.
• Drive engineering processes to ensure high-quality SaaS delivery with low defect rates and high velocity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Algorithms teams to solve complex transit-domain challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, including managing team leads.
• 12+ years of hands-on production experience building SaaS products using Python, Node.js, React, or equivalent.
• Deep technical expertise in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems with non-trivial complexity.
• Proven track record of leading code modernization in mature, large codebases.
• Hands-on fluency with AI development tools and agentic workflows.
• Fluent English and Hebrew required.
• Must be based in the Tel Aviv area for a hybrid work model.

• Experience with complex algorithmic or optimization domains.
• Background in data-intensive SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud-native architectures.
• Experience in mobility, transportation, or logistics domains.
