What you will do

• Provide expert privacy advice and conduct complex privacy impact assessments for various business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain organizational privacy policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Manage privacy incidents, data breaches, regulatory notifications, and customer complaints.
• Collaborate with Legal, Cyber, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to strengthen the company's privacy culture.
• Design and deliver privacy training programs, talks, and educational events for the business.
• Participate in strategic initiatives regarding the responsible use of data and AI.

Requirements

• 4-5+ years of legal experience, preferably in privacy, technology, or commercial law.
• Essential legal qualifications and strong foundational legal expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of Australian data privacy laws and regulations and their practical application.
• Proven ability to manage notifiable data breaches and conduct complex privacy impact assessments.
• Experience in designing and delivering professional training and education sessions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a commercial, risk-based mindset.

Nice to have

• Exposure to or experience in the retail and/or gaming industries.
• A keen interest in AI and emerging technologies.
