Satellite Ground Systems Engineer II (Aerospace): Design, development, and deployment of satellite ground systems with an accent on demodulator deployment, antenna installation, and site engineering. Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 Annually

What you will do

• Perform systems engineering functions, including requirements management, assignment, and verification & validation.
• Provide engineering support for complete site build-out, from site survey through design, installation, testing, and operations.
• Conduct face-to-face customer testing efforts for RF communications and network interfaces.
• Coordinate with global technical and program teams to implement long-term solutions for challenging space-ground communications.
• Support lunar integration and operations by operationalizing multiple ground stations at CONUS and global locations.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and eligibility to maintain a US DoD SECRET Clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience supporting RF systems, hardware integration, or technical site development.
• Demonstrated experience with on-site installation, backend integration, racking and cabling, and antenna systems acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with Satellite Ground Systems Design (Antennas, Modems, Timing, Amplifiers, etc.).
• Technical competency in Radio Frequency communication, modulation/demodulation, and front-end data processing.
• Experience with RF lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and bit error rate testing.

Nice to have

• Networking knowledge including SDWAN, MPLS, VLANs, subnetting, IPv4/6, routing and switching.
• CCNA certification or equivalent.
