TL;DR

Presales Consultant (IP Networking): Developing and defining Routing solutions for the APJ market with an accent on network automation and AI/ML-Ops integration. Focus on designing large-scale IP/MPLS architectures and driving technical executive engagement to align business value with technology choices.

Location: Hybrid (expectation to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office in the APJ region)

What you will do

• Develop and define Routing solutions for the APJ market, collaborating with account teams across Enterprise, Service Provider, and Cloud verticals.
• Create technical architectures and conduct Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate new technologies to strategic customers.
• Influence customer network architecture decisions by aligning technical solutions with business priorities and value.
• Liaise with the Routing PLM and engineering teams to articulate regional requirements for the APJ market.
• Assist account teams in responding to RFPs and RFIs, providing technical compliance, bill of materials, and solution documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of pre-sales experience in IP networking, including 4+ years in Routing, Automation, and AI/ML-Ops.
• Expertise in large-scale IP/MPLS Core/Access/Metro/Edge networks, including TE, CoS, and IP-optical convergence.
• Hands-on experience with overlay protocols (MP-BGP, EVPN) and tunneling (MPLS, SR, SRv6).
• Proficiency in network automation tools and protocols such as Netconf, YANG, PCEP, REST APIs, NetFlow, and telemetry.
• Practical knowledge of AI/ML-Ops and Agentic AI technologies (RAG, LLM, SLM).
• Competence in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• JNCIE or equivalent expert-level industry-standard certifications in the Routing track.
• Engineering Degree or equivalent.
