Safety & Health Manager (Construction)

What you will do

• Implement and maintain project safety and health procedures, including drug and alcohol substance abuse programs.
• Conduct detailed site safety inspections and lead thorough incident and injury investigations.
• Develop and deliver employee safety and health training programs to project staff.
• Manage project security contracts and coordinate with clients and government officials.
• Supervise and mentor junior safety and health professionals and interns.
• Administer project worker's compensation programs and procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in safety and health.
• Ability to travel 70%+ anywhere in the US.
• Ability to pass pre-employment criminal/civil background checks and drug screens.
• Physical ability to perform hard labor in extreme temperatures and work at heights up to 5 feet.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma.
• BCSP Certification or CHST.
• 3+ years of experience specifically in a construction environment.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA 500/501, and OSHA 10 hour.
